Dinah�s Mulled Wine

On the stove top, mix in a medium pot:
1 cup of water11:31 a.m.
2 cups of sugar
6 cinnamon sticks
12 grains of Allspice
48 cloves
nutmeg to taste
1 sliced lemon
Bring to a boil and continue to boil for five minutes. Let stand 30 minutes.
Mix in a large pot and heat at medium heat:
4 litres of dry red wine2 sliced oranges
juice of two lemons
3 tablespoons of sugar
Strain the syrup and add to wine mixture. Heat and serve.
This is bar none the best mulled wine I have ever had. Enjoy!
