I have just spent far too long trying to find the correct spelling for a barachué (which is probably not the right spelling), which should be pronounced ba-ra-shway, with the accent on the last syllable. It is a barrier of rocks effectively closing off a fresh water pond from the saline ocean. I walked across one when I hiked on the East C0ast Trail several years ago when we were all visiting St. J0hn’s, NFLD for the bi-annual new music festival that happens there.

Anyway, it’s late. I’m discouraged and I’m going to bed.
