Elgan speaks
...and her words thunder across the land

What is likely to be just the first entry of the day.

Hubby and I went to a concert last night featuring an artist of some renown, especially as he plays some very unusual instruments. His music ranges from blues to this pop sounding stuff that Hubby and I found rather insipid, but his harmonica player (who appeared with him on this album) was absolutely incredible. The show was warmed up by the fellow who played percussion for the main act, an Australian who has studied in Africa and plays a keyed instrument (which he told us was made from various kinds of metals: the springs from the seats of a Peugot and pieces from a supermarket shopping cart). It was a fun evening. I could have done with more blues and less pop, though. The newly-refurbished Centennial Theatre was about four-fifths full, which is nothing to sneeze at.

The day dawned sunny and cool, with a promise of warmth. I have already been to Sawyerville and back to pick up Buddy Boy who stayed overnight at a friends, a 40-minute round trip. (Insert theme song from Green Acres here.) I have also hung out a load of darks on the line out back. Gee, what other wonders will the day hold for me? Stay tuned!
